Everything is tracked, from what you say in public to your online purchases. There is a large division on social class, the lower, middle and upper classes are quite divided. The world is controlled by a system of security cameras that watch the people's ever move (think 1984, the book, the basic idea not the actual plot).

There is also memory fragments that characters can join in and take on the role based on a person's world to experience a backstory first hand! However, it seems like there is a mastermind behind all of it simply keeping the town under control. Your characters may interact in either assisting a way to escape, helping the town, or just accept reality that they will not ever escape.
